Professional Improvement Opportunities

The MACAA-PIC Committee has been working diligently to pull together the 2012 PIC Conference.  The Professional Improvement conference will be held in Natchez, MS August 22-24.

The Grand Hotel in Natchez, MS www.natchezgrandhotel.com will serve as the host hotel.  Call (601) 446-9994 to book your room reservation (Wed. noon - Fri. noon). Tell them it is for : MS County Agents Association.  The special room rate is $89 (single or double) City View + tax + 7.95 per room per night for breakfast buffet and an evening glass of wine in the lounge. The total should come to around $106 per night.

A wide variety of educational tours are offered plus some recreational activities (golf, team roping, trap shooting) for your enjoyment. Please refer to the attached agenda and tour descriptions to help you choose the most informative, beneficial session.

Go to the MSU-ES Intranet In-service registration system and enroll in the sessions that you plan to attend.  There is a seating limit on some of the tours, so register early to reserve your seat.  All related sessions begin with MACAA in the title on the registration system.

There are many oportunities for professional improvement within MACAA and NACAA. Many of these are through awards, study tours, scholarships and seminars. The NACAA Annual Meeting and Professional Improvement Conference offers a tremendous opportunity each year through workshops, seminars, tours and exhibits.

The first step in getting the recognition that you deserve and utilizing the professional opportunities available to you through MACAA, is by taking the TIME to explore and then taking advantage of the recognition and educational opportunities available to you.
